In 2011 WISE rewarded six projects for their innovative contribution to education and positive impact on societies. Two of them, Connexions and SueñaLetras have already been featured in Learning World, the educational TV series on Euronews.

Vietnam, for instance, is using Open Educational Resources (OERs) and providing free Internet-based information for both learners and educators in Hanoi.
